Dear Bill, Now that the dust has settled, I just want to send
you a personal note about grateful we all are for what the wonderful folks
out at Dulles did for these senior heroes. This was their last
hurrah and I can’t image a better way to celebrate it. Your entire
crew bent WAY over backwards to make sure this was the safest, most
efficient operations we have ever witnessed at any airport. There
was so much at stake with no margin for failure, and it worked great!
The water cannon treatment, the smooth transition from the PlaneMates to
the buses, wheelchair loading, re-boarding for the flight back, and that
doesn’t even come close to covering everything that went on behind the
scenes. Please pass on my heartfelt appreciation on behalf of
the entire Honor Flight Network. You and your hardworking, dedicated
and patriotic staff made us all look good. Now, every WWII Veteran
that participated has an intimate knowledge of how revered and cherished
they are by this grateful nation. Sincerely,
Earl Morse, Captain, USAF Retired
